『マチルダ』 (Matilda the Musical ) は、ロアルド・ダールによる児童文学作品『マチルダは小さな大天才』を基にしたミュージカル。デニス・ケリー（英語版）の脚本、ティム・ミンチンの作詞作曲による。（wikipediaより）

今回上演するシーンは‥
主人公は、5歳の天才少女マチルダ。
インチキディーラーの父とカジノに入り浸りの母に馬鹿にされながらも、自分の手で運命を切り開いていきます。
naughty(ちょっと悪い子)は、次々に本を読んでいくなかで、物語の結末と理不尽な現実の違いに頭を悩ませたマチルダが、お父さんへの復讐を試みる歌。
お父さんヘアトニックと自分のグリッター(原作では染毛剤)を混ぜて、お父さんに使わせようと企むところを踊にしています。
哲学的な難しい歌詞の意味をみんなで考えながら、子供らしい簡潔な表現に繋げてゆくお稽古を重ねました。

Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty　ちょっとワンパクになったほうがいいときもあるの
